The “Jom Balik Sekolah” program was launched in January 2022 by the Society of Hope Sabah. Our mission was to distribute 10,000 stationery sets to children from the B40 communities in Sabah in order to support their educational needs. Our journey took us to 80 different schools and multiple districts across the state and helped us to attain a national record from the Malaysia Book of Records. We are grateful for the support we have had along the way and we look forward to empowering vulnerable communities in the coming years ahead.
Project Hope Milk Fund
This Christmas, the Society of Hope Sabah went on a special mission; to raise RM50,000 in donations to buy powdered milk for children between 1-3 years of age from families deeply impacted by COVID-19.
To date we have supplied 3000 packets of milk powder to children all over Sabah. And we hope to continue doing so.
This is only possible through the generosity of our donors and the passion of our volunteers. Truly you represent all that is great in our beautiful state; your greatness lies not in what you have, but in what you give.

The “Jom Balik Sekolah” program was launched in January 2022 by the Society of Hope Sabah, a meaningful initiative dedicated to supporting the education of children from B40 communities. Our journey took us to 80 schools across multiple districts, where we proudly distributed 10,000 stationery sets to children from B40 families, and along the way, we were proud to earn a national recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records – a milestone that reflects our commitment to making education accessible for all.
Building on this success, we continued our efforts in 2023 with the second phase of the “Jom Balik Sekolah” program, reaching 7 districts and 20 schools. This time, we distributed 2,500 school bags and 500 pairs of black school shoes, and awarded RM250 scholarships to two deserving children in each school to further inspire and support their educational journey.
We are deeply grateful for the encouragement and support from our communities. Each step we take is a step towards brighter futures, and we remain committed to empowering more children and transforming lives in the years ahead.
